Fear is an emotion that helps recognize danger or something
that is seemingly to be unfriendly. It helps us stay alive in most occasions.
It is sometimes an illusion such that we do select things we get afraid of. We
keep information of things that are wrapped by danger in a permanent sections
of our brain that we always do remember upon encountering. It is an emotion
such in a way that different individuals have different feelings and
expressions for, as it increases our heart rate with the help a hormone ADRENALINE which is also called fear hormone secreted from a master gland
located in the human brain and it helps make fast action whereby avoid danger
faster. Not every individual have control over fear.
People claim to be fearless as they possesses the ability to
conquer almost every danger they encountered, but the truth is; we all
technically get afraid but not all of us express our fear. E.g. on a battle
field; soldiers protect themselves and their people by being victorious over their
enemies in a fear of losing to the enemies. Cats is always afraid of snakes and
vice versa because they don’t spare each other at any chance. Whereby fear is
also defined by its ability to stick to individuals in a helpful way that no
one can get rid of.
Fear is categorized by its reasons of occurrences into
voluntary and involuntary. We imposes the mental attitude into ourselves by
believing in witnessing terror in particular things, e.g. a criminal sees
freaks out and try to seize him/herself from a moment of terror upon sighting a
police man especially during a crime, but for an innocent individual it goes
the other way round. Such kind of fear is bound to happen voluntarily.
Involuntary fear never come from a conscious mind, it
comes in a form of reflex as actions are made with no intentions. E.g. an
infant cries when left alone mostly in the darkness because its reflexes knows
that its alone and vulnerable to danger, and when you throw a baby in the air
in terms of making fun, the baby automatically gets afraid as it leaves your
hand. All these are examples of involuntary fear.
We do find ourselves in awkward situations, when conquered
by fear as we do unfortunate things because it do take over our consciousness.
Being calm in the situation of fear and terror is a way of showing an
emotionally strong mind, as one can control their consciousness and avoid
unfortunate actions. When people get high on drugs or drunk; a part of their
brain that controls fear mal-function, which make them do crazy things with no
feelings for fear or righteousness sometimes to an extent that cost their
lives. That is a reason that we are urged not to be confront to hard drugs and
alcohols.
As we know, emotions are abstract part of human beings and
animals, fear is the most important and healthy one because it keeps us alive.
From a common example; a person who is more concern about being alive in every
moment is bound to be always afraid and it’s a good way of staying alive and
healthy.
