Exercising the human brain for better efficiency

The human brain is the central organ of the nervous system. It is made up of cells called neurons (brain cells); they undergo mitosis (cellular asexual reproduction) and die as well. The human brain consists of the cerebrum, the brain-stem, and cerebellum (largest part) each consisting of sub-parts performing different tasks.

The Frontal cortex, Inferior frontal Gyrus, Temporal lobe, Pariental lobe and Limbic system are the parts of the brain responsible for sophisticated interpersonal thinking skills, creativity, visual recognition, emotional memory and mood control. Each part develops on different ratio and the full development of the human brain takes 25 years but maturity only takes 18 years.

The parts of the brain mentioned above grow in a proportion to the information stored and reduces in time when not remembered. The sharpness of the human brain varies; some are bound to be storing information faster and longer than others due to a different carrying capacity of the neurons. In children, the brain cells are faster and more accurate than in adults but as days past with no learning, they reduce to a proportion to the information left inside and the more they become blunt. To make a brain cell regain its sharpness and increase its carrying capacity, you need to exercise it. Eating good diets, challenging the brain (most especially IQ tests) and playing games like chess, scrabble, cross word, etc,  are the best way of exercising the brain, they increases the neurons and the more intelligent a person would be. For example; People studying mathematics and other related courses are bound to be more intelligent than others because calculations and solving complicated mathematics problems tests’ and develop one’s IQ.

A child that has been reading books and testing his/her IQ either by playing educative games or solving challenges till elder age would be found more intelligent than others that haven’t, because brain cells are like muscle cells, the more you exercise them the more they develop and the more they become strong.

There is a popular saying; “every child is intelligent” but something to be noted is; some are more intelligent than others, and exercising their brain made them better. Attempting a new and harder challenge every day trains and develops the brain’s ability to think and reason faster in difficult situations.
